COB6043: A personal fast-paced journey through post-war automotive history

My name is Rolf Versen, born in 1949, humanist with petrol in my blood, love and appreciate "everything that hums", whether on water, on land or in the air. After 5 books I had a creative pause and took up the pen again for this one. The reason was the sale of my AC Cobra after almost 50 years of ownership. "An eventful life" is the motto under which I describe the development of the automobile in the period after 1949 from my own personal experience.The idiosyncrasies, special features, quirks and joys of the vehicles mentioned are impressively described and illustrated. The foreword is provided by Carroll Shelby's grandson Aaron. Of course, COB 6043 plays a leading role, especially since racing was a beloved hobby and this powerhouse offered the ideal vehicle for it.
